Dorchester Village - Rental OFC Customer Reviews
by Vary Unsatisfied on 2008-11-04
I am a resident of Dorchester Village who has only been living for almost a year now and after 3 months couldn't wait until my lease is over. When I toured the premises before leasing an apartment, it seemed like a nice location, community, and building to live in. I am sorry to say that I am no longer happy with Dorchester Village. The building I live in is not clean. There is always garbage in the hallways, stairways, elevators and lobby. In my hallway it looks as if someone threw a can of tomato sauce or ketchup on the wall and it has been there since I viewed the apt. One of reasons I chose Dorchester Village because I believed it to be a secure bldg with restricted access but there is always something wrong with the locks on the doors to get into the bldg. Once the locks do get fixed, they are still very loose which makes it easy to be tampered with. The glass door of the bldg the Fitness Center is has been shattered for over 2 months now. There are always guys and girls hanging out in the stairwells and lobby. I understand that there can not be 24 hour surveillance. I also understand that some things may be out of your control and that the premises can\\\\\\\'t be 100% clean everyday. I\\\\\\\'m just concerned because I\\\\\\\'m paying almost $700 monthly to live and raise my child in a place where I\\\\\\\'m not comfortable. You can smell all kind of smoke in the hallways and stairwell as well as entering under your apt door. I\\\\\\\'m not one who likes to complain so I try to avoid constantly calling the leasing office with these issues. I really thought Richmond Heights would be a nice community to live in but have been sadly mistaken.
